This professional development certificate (called a “program” on LMS) is the first iteration of the NYSPHC Educational Series sessions held from December 2022 through May 2023.
The NYSPHC Educational Series 1 included the following five (six) topics:
- Budget & Financial Management
- Policy Engagement
- Data-Based Decision Making
- Justice, Equity Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI)
- Change Management
When you enroll in the NYSPHC Educational Series 1 (2022-2023) Certificate Program, the courses will appear in both My Courses – Current Courses, and My Courses - My Programs.
If you participated in the events live, then you will be able to complete the quiz questions associated with each of the five topics.
If you missed an Educational Series session. or if you are interested in reviewing the series content, you will be able to launch and view recordings of each event through My Current Courses (on the homepage) or in the My Courses > Current Courses area or by visiting My Courses > My Programs area.
Enrolling In The Program:
- The NYLearnsPH.com LMS is introducing one-click program enrollment.
- If a course only has one available/active section, then the learner will be automatically enrolled in that course section when they choose to enroll in the program.
- If a course has more than one active section, then the learner will be required to select and enroll in one of the available sections.
- Alternately, if the available sections are full and/or have an active waitlist -OR- requires administrator approval, then the course will be added to a list of pending (program) courses until the learner's course status is resolved.
- If the learner is already enrolled in a course that is included in the program, then the learner's course status will be reflected in the program.
- If the learner has already completed a course that is included in the program, then the learner's course status will be honored in the program.
Once enrolled, the program will be added to My Courses > My Programs area. Click on the program name and you will be able to take any actions needed with respect to the program in question.When you have completed all five quizzes, you will receive a certificate of completion.
Successful completion of the NYSPHC Education Series 1 (2022-2023) Certificate Program is a resume builder that demonstrates proficiency in the NYSPHC Core Competencies and a desire to be a successful practitioner of public health. (See NYSPHC Training & Resources Website.
