Program Description

The NYSPHC Educational Series 2 Professional Development Certificate program includes the following topics/courses:

• Understanding Disparities
• Human Resources
• Prevention Agenda: NY State's Health Improvement Plan
• Workforce Development & Wellness
• Grant Proposal Planning
• Social Determinants of Health 

In order to receive the certificate, you must enroll in the program using the below instructions, watch the live or recorded session and complete a short quiz for each course.

When you enroll in the NYSPHC Educational Series 2 (2023-2024) Certificate Program, the courses will appear in both My Courses and Programs – Current Courses, and My Courses and Programs - My Programs.

One Click program Enrollment Instructions:

1. Under the Navigation Menu, select: Course and Program Catalog
2. Select the Program Catalog link
3. Click on the NYSPHC Educational Series 2 link
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the one-click program enrollment button.

Tips:

1. If a course only has one available/active section, then the learner will be automatically enrolled in that course section when they choose to enroll in the program. 
2. If a course has more than one active section, then the learner will be required to select and enroll in one of the available sections.
3. Alternately, if the available sections are full and/or have an active waitlist -OR- requires administrator approval, then the course will be added to a list of pending (program) courses until the learner's course status is resolved. 
4. If the learner is already enrolled in a course that is included in the program, then the learner's course status will be reflected in the program.
5. If the learner has already completed a course that is included in the program, then the learner's course status will be honored in the program.

Successful completion of the NYSPHC Education Series 2 (2023-2024) Certificate Program is a resume builder that demonstrates proficiency in the NYSPHC Core Competencies and a desire to be a successful practitioner of public health. (See NYSPHC Training & Resources Website.)
