Background:

The New York State Sanitary Code requires Local Health Department staff hired to the Public Health Nurse 2 (PHN2) and Supervising Public Health Nurse (SPHN) titles to complete 15 hours of continuing education within their first year of employment.  PHN2 and SPHN Continuing Education Programs on the NYLearnsPH.com LMS were developed to assist these staff in meeting this requirement.
