Title: Emergency Planning and Preparedness for Persons With Disabilities & Access and Functional Needs - PART II

Description:WR/FLRTC has partnered again with Niagara University's Emergency Management Disability Awareness Program to provide a customized training for the Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Coalition.  The purpose of the training is to educate and sensitize emergency medical service, emergency management personnel, and those with a responsibility in healthcare emergency preparedness on equality and disability issues within the diversity spectrum. This training is recognized by the New York State Office of Emergency Management and the New York State Emergency Managers Association for its quality and content in educating individuals with responsibilities in emergency planning, preparedness, response, and recovery specific to person with disabilities and access and functional needs.  PART II Training will build on the content covered in PART I (recording available HERE) and will include, but not be limited to:
-Cultural competency (revisited and expanded) specific to emergency planning and access and functional needs
-Introduction to the FEMA CMIST model
-Defining Network of Supports, Personal Support, and Partner Network
-Disabilities defined in the context of emergency planning, preparedness, response, and recovery
-Understanding the concept of universal accessibility

2. Click on My Courses from the User Menu, Current Courses is the default folder.
3. Find the course in your list of Current Courses and look in the Activities column; select the activity due.
4. Complete the quiz and click on the Submit button.

The Course Evaluation can be found after you submit the quiz/attestation. 
Go to Current Courses - Activities Column - Evaluation Due.

If you do not see the course you are looking for in the Current Courses area, you may have already been completed for the course. Click on the Completed Courses tab, and find the activity due in the Activities column.
