This virtual yet interactive workshop will examine current impacts of stressors and stress as influenced by the COVID-19 environment. The workshop will provide participants the opportunity for self-assessment and activities to encourage consideration of individual mitigation techniques that promote well-being and enhance professional performance. Participants will also be given a tool to help them anticipate and plan for how to address stress threats going forward to better prepare them to meet the challenges that lie ahead.

Presenters

Rachel Kaul is a licensed clinical social worker and the Behavioral Health Lead for Department of Health and Human Service’s Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response.  She an extensive background in providing guidance and direction to the disaster mental health, public health and emergency management communities throughout the country and in promoting the expansion of integration of behavioral health services into preparedness, response, and recovery activities to foster individual, community and responder resilience.

Kayla Siviy is a Behavioral Health Program Analyst for the Department of Health and Human Service’s Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response. In this role, Ms. Siviy supports behavioral health response and recovery programs and activities. She has extensive experience in international community development and public health.
