Course Description:
Unfortunately it is not too early to talk about blizzards or ice storms as 17 years ago in early October the Buffalo region got hit by a surprise ice storm and the weather emergencies continued up through today. With at least 5 tornadoes in Western New York and a community with many vulnerabilities inclusive of aging infrastructure the question is—what do you need to go three days without water or power or groceries. And what are the self-care skills you need to to be physically and mentally strong over that time? Sarah comes prepared to discuss how to prepare oneself to lead to community resiliency.
Speaker:
Sarah Bonk, LMSW
