This course is the standard training module for all individuals who work with any type of public water system, including transient non-community water systems, such as those at permitted facilities.  This course's target audience(s) includes all engineers and other staff involved in public water supply work (sanitarians, public health technicians, etc.).  Through lecture, discussion, and a field exercise, the course provides an overview of sanitary survey procedures, field-review aspects of non-community and community water supply regulations, and technical aspects of groundwater sources, treatment, and distribution systems.  Students should have completed EH 109 (Concepts of Water Supply) of the Basic Environmental Health Program (BEHP) or have had some mentored field experience and introduction to public water system regulations prior to taking the 'Sanitary Surveys of Ground Water Systems course. 

*12 hours of Professional Engineering Continuing Education Credits will be awarded for completion of this course.

Parking Instructions for Elmira Corning Airport   (165k) 

On day 2 of the course, there will be an off-site visit to a public groundwater system. Be prepared to carpool to limit the number of cars parked at the facility. Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Completion of this course is awarded 12 CEUs. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy this course.

Attendees will have to provide a current ID, e.g., a Driver’s License, to Security in order to be admitted. They will need to park in Visitor Lot B. Security will ask where they parked, and if they parked in Lot A, they will need to go out and move.
