TOPIC: National Special Pathogen System of Care Resources for New York State

DESCRIPTION: The National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center (NETEC), Regional Emerging Special Pathogen Treatment Centers (RESPTC) and the National Special Pathogen System of Care (NSPS) are part of a health care network that prepares the United States to respond to special pathogen threats.  In this webinar, the Region 2 NSPS Level I RESPTC at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue will provide NYS HEPC Partners with a variety of available resources and services to support NYS facilities with response to emerging special pathogens. 

OBJECTIVES:

• Discuss the purpose, mission and goals of the NETEC, NSPS and R2RESPTC
• Explain the I3 Concepts of Identify, Isolate and Inform and the new Joint Commission Standards for the Infection Control Requirements
• Review the Region 2 High-Consequence Infectious Disease (HCID) Patient Transport Concept of Operations (CONOPs)
• Identify resources available to HEPC Partners including templates and Job Action Sheets
• Answer questions from participants
