Course Overview:
Decontamination Hands-On Learning
This decontamination training will review the skills needed to perform successful and safe decontaminations operations for MCI patients exposed to a chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear hazards. This course will place an emphasis on patient decontamination operation requirements, set up and operation, healthcare facility decontamination capability, proper operations in required personal protective equipment, and the performance of patient triage and lifesaving interventions. Please wear clothing you are comfortable moving around in and that is appropriate for the weather – we will be outside for this portion of the course.
