Course Description
AWR-140: Introduction to Radiological Nuclear WMD Operations is an awareness level course designed to provide fundamental knowledge to personnel who may encounter a radiological or nuclear incident during their normal duties. The course focuses on preparing responders for the initial stages of a radiological/nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction Incident. Key topics include: Radiation Fundamentals, Health Effects, Hazard Identification and Protective Acitions.
The course aligns with NFPA 472 (Awareness and Operations levels) for professional competence in hazardous materials incidents.
