Welcome!

This course is offered by the NYS Department of Health Cancer Services Program to allow Contractor Staff to become familiar with the details of the Program.

Title of Training:  Breast Cancer Screening and Reporting in the Priority Population

Intended Audience:   CSP Contractor staff

Prerequisites:  CSP Clinical Basics - Breast Cancer

Learning Objectives:  At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to

understand and articulate:

·         the importance of Clinical Breast Examination (CBE)

·         the reporting categories of the American College of Radiology’s Breast Information-Reporting Data System (BI-RADs)

·         the differences in reporting a screening vs. a diagnostic mammogram

·         the appropriate designation for diagnostic mammogram that recommends further evaluation with MRI

The presentation also provides examples of individual reports and combined screening and diagnostic reports.

Brief Description of Training:  This webinar provides information about breast cancer screening in the priority population of the CSP, including understanding the categories for reporting clinical breast exams and mammograms in the CSP and the necessity of carefully reading the mammogram report to determine how to correctly report it.
