Course Description:

This New York City (NYC) Health + Hospitals Bellevue training will provide an overview of the resources, plans, and promising practices to increase special pathogen and H5N1 Avian Influenza preparedness throughout New York State. Training topics include:

  • National Special Pathogen System (NSPS) and Regional Emerging Special Pathogen Treatment Center (RESPTC) resources
  • Health and Human Services (HHS) Region 2 High-Consequence Infectious Disease Patient Transport Concept of Operations (CONOPs) considerations
  • Identify, Isolate, and Inform practices
  • H5N1 Avian Influenza Response Updates

Course Objectives:

  • Participants will be oriented to resources available through the RESPTC
  • Participants will review considerations relative to identify, isolate, and inform best practices for H5N1 Avian Influenza.

 

This Course Meets the Requirements for 2024-2025 (BP1) Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) Deliverable 6a.
