Course Description:

This one-hour webinar will provide an overview of maternal mental health in the United States, examining both societal influences and psychological perspectives. Attendees will learn about research evidence connecting maternal mental health with infant socioemotional development. The session will translate these findings into implications for public health initiatives and early childhood outcomes. Future directions for research and practice will be discussed to guide prevention, intervention, and policy efforts.

1. Examine the current state of maternal mental health in the US at the broader societal level and within the field of psychology.
