Course Description
New York State Department of Health Food Service Inspection Officer Standardization Training
This training is being offered by the Bureau of Community Environmental Health & Food Protection to train and standardize food service inspectors as referenced in the Environmental Health Manual CEHFP 808, Standardization of Food Service Program Personnel. This training will be comprised of two webinars, followed by an in-person session. Satisfactory completion of these components and examination will satisfy the classroom instruction requirement for obtaining FSIO-I certifiation as outlined in CEHFP 808.
Space is limited to 50 participants. Please obtain approval from your Regional Field Coordinator before registering.

Prerequisites
1. Completion of the Basic Environmental Health Program
2. Six months experience in the food service program
3. Completion of the recommended FDA ORAU online courses listed below:
· FDA38 Basics of Inspections: Beginning an Inspection
· FDA39 Basics of Inspections: Issues and Observations
· MIC01 Overview of Microbiology
· FDA16 HACCP: Overview of HACCP
