Course C: Activation, Recovery and Beyond
This course prepares participants for the complexities of real-world emergencies by exploring plan activation, operational coordination, data collection, and incident demobilization. Emphasis is placed on navigating recovery challenges, conducting after-action reviews, and cultivating leadership skills such as communication, decision-making, and effectively identifying problems, while supporting responder well-being, and updating plans and procedures based on the event.
Objectives:
- Understand the unique challenges of responding to an event or emergency.
- How to evaluate actions using an after action process
- Navigate of the challenges of recovery
- Develop best practices of communication, leadership, decision making, conflict resolution, and mental health.
