Course Description
eFINDS is a tracking system/application on the Health Commerce System (HCS) that is mandatory for use by a healthcare facility in the event of an emergent, urgent or planned evacuation. The application captures minimal amounts of data and allows facilities to track the patient/resident movement to other facilities, facility types or temporary shelters.

Prerequisites
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS TO ATTEND THIS COURSE:
- Access and Login: Health Commerce System You are required to have an HCS account and we suggest your role be set to: eFINDS Reporting Administrator prior to the training. Please contact your facility HPN coordinator for role assignment if needed
- PRINT eFINDS Barcodes: Instructions for accessing/printing facility scannable barcodes Each learner will need 10 UNUSED facility eFINDS training/demo barcode per participant. If more than one person is attending from your facility, make sure each of you have a DIFFERENT barcode number. Barcodes can only be used once.
- OPTIONAL - Barcode Scanner. Check with your facility emergency preparedness coordinator for access to barcode scanner. If you don’t have access to a barcode scanner you can easily type the barcode number in the data field.
