Background
During Winter-Spring of 2019, NYSDOH will be conducting regional multi-day Health Emergency Preparedness Coalition (HEPC) exercises throughout the State.
The HEPC exercise is designed to test:
· Medical surge (Coalition Surge Test)
· Medical countermeasures (MCM drill)
· Interoperable communications (IOC drill)
In preparation for the exercise, NYSDOH will provide an informational webinar to brief non-acute care partners on the multi-day exercise. Two briefings will be offered during February 2019.
Goal
This optional webinar will provide non-acute partners with information, understanding and roles in the multi-day HEPC exercise.
Target Audience
Home Care providers, Nursing Home staff, Community Health Care Center staff, Hospice staff, and Adult Care Facility staff who are responsible for Emergency Preparedness within their facility.
