This course will review the purpose for using an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and review the operation of the models available at our work location. This will fulfill the annual requirement for AED review. If you are responsible for maintenance, there are additional videos for you to use specifically, embedded on one of the slides.
The intent is to encourage everyone to gain awareness of the AED locations in the building and become more comfortable with the idea of using it in an emergency situation to impact a more positive outcome.
This course will allow the learner to meet the following objectives:
- State the two locations where AEDs can be found at 175 Green Street in Albany, New York
- Explain the correct placement of the AED pads.
- State the importance of securing an AED for an unresponsive person.
