Course Description

This webinar highlights the basic principles of Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication (CERC), an essential tool for communicating day-to-day and often life-saving public health information to the public, with an emphasis on updated techniques and resources. Information will also be provided on an updated NYSDOH Medical Countermeasure Communications Toolkit , which is intended to assist local health departments during exercises and actual events where medical countermeasures are used.

 

Target Audience

 

Staff from local health departments who are responsible for public outreach and interaction during medical countermeasure events. This includes public information officers, health educators, and those who may participate in points of dispensing (POD) sites.
