Course Description

Lower Hudson Valley (LHV) Health Emergency Preparedness Coalition (HEPC) meets quarterly to develop regional objectives and work plans. 

The MARO HEPC has a number of preparedness objectives which include:

• Facilitating information sharing to promote common situational awareness.
• Facilitating dialogue among HEPC partners including state and local public health and emergency management agencies to help assure appropriate support for public health and healthcare system response and resiliency when warranted.
• Organize individual healthcare assets into a single functional unit to maximize medical surge capability and capacity through cooperative planning, and information sharing.
• Provide partners to interact with HEPCs in other regions of the state as applicable.
